Among Channel Key alternatives, Olifant Digital is the stronger fit for established brands doing roughly $1M to $50M a year on Amazon where Amazon is the main profit engine and they want senior specialists managing every product daily against TACoS and profit. Channel Key is a strong choice for brands that want one partner across Amazon, Walmart, Target, Shopify, TikTok Shop and paid social, according to its About page.

If you are searching for a Channel Key alternative, you are probably deciding whether to switch agencies or which one to hire. This page answers one question: is Channel Key or Olifant Digital better for your Amazon business? It shows where Channel Key is stronger, where Olifant is stronger, and how to switch without losing data or momentum.

Competitor facts checked October 2026 from Channel Key's public website. Every Channel Key number on this page is Channel Key's own claim. Spot an error? Email alex@olifantdigital.com and we will correct it.

The short answer

Channel Key is stronger on channel breadth. Its About page lists Amazon, Walmart and Target, Shopify and owned DTC, TikTok Shop, and demand across Google, Meta and TikTok, run as one connected system.
Olifant is stronger on Amazon depth and senior attention. Every Olifant specialist has 7+ years of experience, and the team on your first call runs your account every day.
Olifant manages every product against profit. Each product gets a target TACoS, a target ACoS and a profit goal. Channel Key's published case studies lead with sales, share of voice, ROAS, CPC and new-to-brand results.
Proof in profit. Ekster added $688,406 in yearly Amazon profit with us, and Wedge Guys added $305,771 in monthly revenue.
Pricing and guarantee. Olifant Digital's services start from $2,000 per month and are custom for each project, based on the complexity and workload required. Every engagement comes with a 60-day guarantee: if we don't improve your performance, you don't pay. Channel Key says it is "priced to the work" and scopes fees per brand; we did not find a published price or guarantee.

Is Olifant Digital the right Channel Key alternative?

Yes, if Amazon drives most of your profit, you sell roughly $1M to $50M a year on Amazon, and you want one senior team working each product daily against a profit goal. No, if Channel Key is delivering, or you need one partner to run Amazon, Walmart, Target, Shopify and TikTok Shop as one plan with equal weight.

The biggest structural difference is scope. Channel Key says it is "not a media reseller or a single-channel shop" but a "commerce acceleration partner that connects strategy, media, creative, operations, and data across every channel." Olifant is Amazon-first: we also run Walmart and Target, plus Google and Meta for brands that sell direct, but Amazon profit is what we are built around. Pick the model that matches where your profit comes from.

Where Channel Key is stronger

Channel Key has real advantages, and for some brands they decide it:

More channels under one plan. Its About page lists Shopify and owned DTC and TikTok Shop alongside Amazon, Walmart and Target, plus demand across Google, Meta and TikTok. If TikTok Shop or Shopify matter as much as Amazon, Channel Key covers more of that in one team.
Operator roots. Channel Key says its founders grew Trend Nation into a Top 200 Amazon seller serving more than 10 million customers before launching the agency in 2017.
A cross-channel data platform. Its Via page describes one normalized view of every commerce data source, with modules that turn data into ranked decisions and worklists.
Large published track record. Channel Key says it has partnered with 250+ brands and driven over $1.5B in commerce revenue, and its Our Work page lists results such as 67% sales growth, 181% new-to-brand growth and 361% sales growth on Amazon.
DSP and retail media work. Its Our Work page includes Amazon DSP case studies, such as 75% new-to-brand sales from a full-funnel DSP strategy.

Where Olifant Digital is stronger

Amazon is the main job, not one channel of many. Amazon gets most of our attention because, for our clients, it is the main profit engine. Our full-service team covers PPC, DSP, SEO, listings, A+ Content, catalog and profit tracking.
Senior specialists only. Every specialist has 7+ years of Amazon experience. You meet the exact team before you sign, and that team runs your account.
A profit plan for every product. Every product gets a target TACoS, a target ACoS, keywords to rank for and a profit goal, tracked daily and reviewed on a weekly call.
Global Amazon marketplaces with local offices. We manage Amazon in the US, UK, Europe, Australia and Japan, with offices in Los Angeles, New York, London, Berlin and Sofia.
5.0 on Clutch. Olifant is rated 5.0 from 20 verified reviews on Clutch, and named a top Amazon agency by DesignRush and Influencer Marketing Hub.
Clear terms. Our services start from $2,000 per month and are custom for each project, based on the complexity and workload required, contracts are month to month, and every engagement comes with a 60-day guarantee: if we don't improve your performance, you don't pay.

Where the two agencies are similar

Both agencies run Amazon PPC, DSP, listings and catalog work, both manage Walmart and Target, and both pair people with their own data platform: Via at Channel Key and Olifant AI at Olifant. Both say they do not price on a percentage of your ad spend. So the choice usually comes down to how much of your profit comes from Amazon, who works on your account each day, and which metric decides your spend.

How Olifant Digital works: the key differences

Senior specialists only, with 7+ years minimum

Every Olifant account is run by senior specialists with at least 7 years of Amazon experience. Every plan includes a dedicated Account Strategist, PPC Manager, Conversion Designer and Inventory & Catalog Manager (see our Amazon PPC management page), plus a dedicated Slack channel and a weekly call. MatchaBar came to us after working with other agencies, and its senior team added $114,305 in monthly revenue.

Why it matters: the person setting your bids decides where every ad dollar goes. Ask each agency, in writing, for the years of Amazon experience of everyone who will touch your campaigns.

Daily optimization, with a person acting the same day

Channel Key describes Via as pairing AI-driven signals with operator review (Via page); we did not find a published optimization cadence for Amazon campaigns. Our in-house AI platform, Olifant AI, analyzes every campaign, keyword and placement each day, and your specialist acts on its findings the same day. Spade to Fork grew revenue 46% and cut ACoS 19% in 44 days.

Use this test with any agency: ask for the change log from the last 7 days. Daily management shows changes on most of those days, with a reason next to each one. A simple rule we use: when a search term has zero orders after 14 days and has spent more than one unit's selling price, add it as a negative exact match. At a $40 price, that cutoff is $40 of spend with no sale.

TACoS and profit on every product

We judge every product by TACoS and profit after fees, ads and returns. Here is why ACoS or ROAS alone can mislead:

Worked example. Spend $10,000 on ads against $40,000 in ad sales and $100,000 in total sales: ACoS is 25% (ROAS 4.0), TACoS is 10%. Next month, ad spend rises to $15,000, ad sales reach $55,000 and total sales reach $110,000. ACoS moves from 25% to 27.3%, which looks stable. TACoS moves from 10% to 13.6%: ad cost per total sales dollar rose 36% while total sales grew only 10%.

That gap is where margin disappears. Set each product's target ACoS from its margin:

1. Find the margin before ads. A $40 product with $26 in product cost, Amazon fees and shipping leaves $14.
2. Work out break-even ACoS. $14 divided by $40 is 35%, the point where ads erase the profit.
3. Set the target below break-even. A 25% target means $10 in ad cost per sale, which keeps $4 of profit per ad-attributed order.

This is how we report on Ekster, which added $688,406 in yearly Amazon profit.

Selling outside the US

Channel Key's Channels page talks about helping brands expand globally, but we did not find named Amazon UK, European, Australian or Japanese services on the pages we checked in October 2026. If you sell abroad, ask any agency which marketplaces it runs today and who runs them locally. We run Amazon in the US, UK, Europe, Australia and Japan, with localization and compliance included, and a team in London. Ekster scaled across US and EU marketplaces, Onsen Secret expanded into Europe and Japan, and OneRoot grew sales 40% and expanded into Japan.

Who is Channel Key?

Channel Key calls itself "the commerce acceleration agency" (homepage). Its About page says it grew Trend Nation into a Top 200 Amazon seller, launched Channel Key in 2017, and has since partnered with more than 250 brands and driven over $1.5B in commerce revenue. Leadership includes founder and Chief Strategy Officer Dan Brownsher, CEO Adam Brown and COO Brian Campbell, who leads Via.

Its Amazon page calls Amazon "Channel Key's core marketplace," with account strategy and management, forecasting, promotions, advertising and catalog work. In January 2024 Channel Key acquired True Hero, a full-service Amazon agency in Colorado. Its Our Work page lists Amazon results including a 67% sales increase, 181% new-to-brand growth, a 31% ROAS increase, 361% sales growth and 153% unit sales growth. We did not find published pricing, a guarantee or a client retention rate.

Signs it may be time to switch agencies

Switching has a cost, so only do it for a clear reason. These are the most common ones we hear:

TACoS keeps rising while total sales stay flat. Ads are buying sales you would have made anyway.
Amazon feels like one channel among many. Your Amazon account gets a slice of a team that also runs your other marketplaces, DTC and social.
You can't name who changes your bids. Ask who makes the changes, how much experience they have, how often and against which metric.
Reports show ROAS, not profit. You see return on ad spend but no profit per product after fees.
Growth has stalled for 3+ months. The plan has not changed even though results have.

What switching from Channel Key looks like

You do not have to move everything. Many brands keep a broad partner on Shopify, TikTok Shop or other retailers and hand Amazon to a specialist. Your campaigns, search term data and sales history live in your own Seller Central and advertising accounts, so they stay with you. Before you give notice:

Confirm admin access. Make your own login the primary admin on Seller Central or Vendor Central and the Amazon Ads console.
Export your Via reports. Ask which dashboards and data exports you keep after the contract ends, and download the history you need before access changes.
Check your DSP setup. Confirm your DSP advertiser and audiences are in your name, or export them.
Keep your creative files. Ask for the source files of your images, video, A+ Content and Store.
Export your reports. Download search term reports, negative keyword lists and a bulk file of every campaign.
Set one handover date. Agree the day editing rights move, so only one team changes bids and budgets at a time. Note any open deals, coupons and inbound shipments.

Once you move to Olifant Digital, the timeline looks like this:

Weeks 1 to 2: we audit your account, campaign history, listings and margins, and agree a target TACoS, ACoS and profit goal per product with you.
Weeks 3 to 6: we rebuild campaign structure, cut search terms that spend without selling and fix listings that hold back sales.
After that: wasted spend usually falls first, and the bigger gains in sales and profit follow over the next 2 to 3 months.
Ownership: your account, campaigns, data and Brand Registry stay in your brand's name the whole time.

Which agency is right for you?

When Olifant Digital is not the right fit

If you sell under roughly $1M a year on Amazon, we are not the right fit yet. Focus on listings and a simple campaign structure first: fix titles, images and bullets on your top 5 products, then run one exact match and one auto campaign per hero product.

Frequently asked questions

Is Channel Key a good agency?

Yes. Channel Key is a credible choice for brands that want one partner across Amazon, Walmart, Target, Shopify and TikTok Shop. It says it has partnered with 250+ brands since 2017 and publishes Amazon case studies on its website. Ask two current Amazon clients in your category about their results before you sign.

How much does Channel Key cost?

Channel Key does not publish prices. Its About page says it is "priced to the work" and scopes fees to what each business needs, not a percentage of ad spend. Ask for the monthly fee, what is included, the contract length and the notice period, all in writing.

Is Olifant Digital or Channel Key better for my Amazon business?

Olifant Digital is the better fit if Amazon is your main profit engine, you sell roughly $1M to $50M a year on Amazon, and you want senior specialists managing each product against TACoS and profit, in the US or abroad. For established brands doing roughly $1M to $50M a year on Amazon, Olifant Digital is a strong alternative: senior specialists only, daily optimization against TACoS and profit per product, Amazon in the US, UK, Europe, Australia and Japan, and a 60-day guarantee.

Can I move only Amazon away from Channel Key?

Yes. Many brands keep a broad partner on DTC, TikTok Shop or other retailers and give Amazon to a specialist. Agree one handover date for Amazon so only one team edits your campaigns, and keep shared reporting so both teams see total sales.

How do I switch from Channel Key to another agency?

Make your own login the primary admin, export the reports and dashboards you need, confirm your DSP setup is in your name, collect creative source files, download a bulk campaign file and agree one handover date.

Will I lose my campaign history if I switch agencies?

No. Your campaigns, search term data and sales history live in your own Seller Central and advertising accounts. Download search term reports and a bulk file before access changes, so negatives and harvested terms carry over.
