Creative Marketing Specialist

We are looking for an experienced creative marketing specialist to join our team. Your main responsibility will be to build a creative strategy for each e-commerce brand we are working with. This strategy should be used to produce performing ads which increase client’s revenue, ad spend and return on ad spend.
What you’ll do:
Research
- Staying up to date with advertising trends, techniques and best practices.
- Continuously analyzing direct and indirect competitor ads to identify opportunities for our advertising campaigns/ad creatives.
- Researching the demographics, interests, pain points, and behaviours of our client's target audience.
Ideation
- Generating unique and effective new advertising concepts.
- Using direct response copywriting techniques to produce ad angles.
- Ability to recognize successful ad creatives and implement a strategy to systematically experiment with new variations of them.
- Understand and use different ad formats where appropriate (static, video, carousel, stories, etc).
- Storyboarding ad concepts and presenting them to our Growth Strategists and Post Production Team in a document or on a call.
Creation
- To work closely with Growth Strategists to ensure that the upcoming client targets are in line with the upcoming advertising plans.
- Bringing concepts to life by turning the Idea Backlog into an Ad Plan on our task management software Asana.
- Project managing the execution of new ad creatives weekly.
- Briefing our Content Creators to produce Creative Raw Assets and providing feedback to them in order to improve future briefs or reshoot if the assets were clearly below standard and did not hit the brief.
- Briefing our Post Production Team to turn Creative Raw Assets into Final Ad Creatives in video and image format that are ready for launch in our ad campaigns. Reviewing Ad Creatives to ensure they meet Brand Guidelines, Wording Guidelines and meet the standard of what you were expecting from the brief.
- To ensure there is sufficient capacity and resource available within the team to execute the Ad Plan every week.
Analysis
- Using performance metrics from the advertising platforms alongside input from our Growth Strategists to understand what concepts are working and what we should test next.
- Complete the Creative Report that we present every week to our clients.
Process / Systems Improvements
- Process improvement - Always look for ways to improve and build a world-class performance marketing team

Service Level Agreements
- 1-Hour response time in Slack to client queries in working hours (excluding weekends)
What we are looking for:
- Some great soft skills - fun, likable, and detail-oriented.
- You have at least 2 years of actual marketing experience in digital companies.
- You are deeply interested in marketing and you are looking for a long-term job & career.
- You are curious and hungry to learn and improve yourself.
- Being able to communicate with clients in English.
- You're not afraid to criticize and receive criticism. We appreciate honesty from all sides.
- You're comfortable working autonomously.
- Coachable, with an understanding that mentorship is an integral key to success.
- Skilled in Asana or equivalent project management software.
- Understanding of the creative development process and proven success in working with creative teams
- Proven ability to persuade clients by creating compelling strategies and delivering value.
- Proficiency in copywriting for short and long-form direct response
- Ability to clearly articulate creative concepts through written, verbal and visual communication
- An interest in creative within the advertising industry
- A deep understanding of consumer psychology
- An ability to understand the mindset of different customer avatars
- Strong ability to manage time, budget and resources efficiently
- Can handle multiple projects and clients simultaneously
